Body Based Approaches to Treating Early Attachment and Adoption Related Issues

Current research indicates that early attachment imprints are organized and solidified primarily on a body level. Treatment thus must include the body in order to successfully target these critical imprints.

Current research indicates that early attachment imprints are organized and solidified primarily on a body level. Treatment thus must include the body in order to successfully target these critical imprints. This workshop will be the 1st in a 2-part series exploring the neurobiological theory and rationale for using the body in treating early attachment and adoption-related issues. Participants will learn key body-based assessment tools as well as body-based Play Therapy interventions and strategies. Particular focus will be paid to the parent-child dyad in treatment. Time will be allotted at the end for case conceptualization and treatment planning.

Date/Time/Location: October 25th 2014 & Feb 1, 2015 9am-4pm, Frisco, CO.  

Investment: $150 for each series paid separately or $275 for both series ** This workshop is part of a 2-part series taking place sequentially in the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015.
